After 20 months of conflict the Arab Republic of Yemen is at 'breaking point' according to the Disasters Emergency Committee which is launching an appeal to help many thousands of civilians facing hunger and starvation. The war has already claimed 10 thousand lives with people caught between the armed coalition led by the Saudis and rebel forces led by the Houthi movement. UNICEF estimates that some 2.2 million children are acutely malnourished and need urgent care. The rebel stronghold is the northern city of Sa'ada where some of the worst fighting has taken place. BBC Arabic's Nawal al-Maghafi is the first broadcast journalist to make it into the city and this is what she found.
